Hi there

I was wondering if the recent BSOD i had was the result of anything that i need to be worried about.

I realize that i may be overreacting by sending you this as soon as i have one blue screen. Still, i would like to know if it's anything i need to correct or worry about.

At the time i was doing nothing more than browsing the web. I may have had a couple of programs open, but nothing too strenuous.

Thanks in advance

Related to netio.sys and often when this occurs it really is related to the installed malware. IN your case McAfee

McAfee is a frequent cause of BSOD's. I would remove and replace it with Microsoft Security Essentials AT LEAST TO TEST!

http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe

Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows

I don't have McAfee installed, i have MSE installed with the W7 firewall. The laptop came with a trial of McAfee, any ideas on how to remove the remnants of it?

EDIT: Sorry, i see on your post that you already answered that. Thanks
