For the last couple of months I've been getting BSOD. There doesn't appear to be any set time between them it could be a couple of weeks or 10 minutes.

Hello and welcome Peter mate your specs could be a tad better and I ma interested to know what the model of MB you have I know it is Gigabyte but we need to know what it is to advise you on issues.

In the readouts there are refs to driver issues and because the highlighted problem can be just about anything for updates to faulty hard ware.

Ok mate sorry late reply - now just to get the ball rolling there are a few things I always like to check out first up. As I said the dumps contain that ntoskrnl.exe and it can be due to many things.

Using HW Info

PART A:

You can test the volts onthe PSU with HW Info HWiNFO,HWiNFO32/64 - Download <download the right bit version and close the right hand window select Sensorsand scroll down to the power section where you will see what the volts aredoing see my pic. In my pic the section (Nuvoton)with VBATT is a dead give away you are in the section for the rail voltages. There are other section titles and one that pops up often is ITE

Now the voltage on thedifferent rails have to be within 5% =+/- of what is required or the machinewill not work properly if at all.

See this for the railvoltage info

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/power-supply-specifications-atx-reference,3061.html (Section 2.)

The original right handwindow shows the machine running and is handy for that but for looking at thecomponents in some detail close it and use the main left hand side panel

FOR OTHER COMPONENTS

PART B:

Open each small squarewith + in it on the section the components are in and then click on theindividual component/s (it willhighlight in blue) - in the right hand side will appear all sorts of detailsincluding brands speeds and other essential info that particular device. Seepic for example.
Your PSU may be up to scratch but lets start there as without it nothing is going to work either properly or at all.

Next please run Speccy and let us know what the temps are https://www.piriform.com/speccy/download

Then run these unless you have done so already

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/433-disk-check.html< if necessary include the /f and /r in the command line as per Option2

Ok Peter those volts and temps look fine. I think the next step - well for me anyway is to run a memtest - yes I know it is pain because it takes so long but we do need to eliminate the RAM.
So this is what to do http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105647-ram-test-memtest86.html just to reiterate what is in the tutorial - 8 passes no less.

16:25hrs later, 8 passes with zero errors.

I don't know if it is a coincidence but all windows updates are failing and I've just noticed if I try to do them manually I get the blue screen. The last date for a successful update was the same date I upgraded my bit defender Internet security to 2015.

Well I don't know if it is coincidence Pater but there seems to be a few issues with updates right now - myself not least. They seem to line up but any attempt at downloading them and less installing them ends I a stalemate. I have been told in a thread I started myself that the servers were "jammed" and I am wondering if it has something to do with what is happening with Windows 10.

So I guess leaving them for the time being id probably best - at least I am as the ones I see listed are not that overly important.

Ok lets look at the drive and by the way did you run these??

Run Magician on your SSD. Also remove Kaspersky, for now.
