Hi there,
Having random BSODs, Sometimes the DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE and sometimes the BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER.

Windows 7 Ultimate x64, Retail. Pretty new hardward (about 3 month) fresh install.
Problem started appearing in the last 3 weeks, can't recall what was changed.
Zip from instructions included.
Thanks in advance!

Hello Mayonayo, welcome to SF!

You have some problems with installing the right device(drivers):
HTML:
SM Bus Controller PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1C22&SUBSYS_844D1043&REV_05\3&11583659&0&FB The drivers for this device are not installed.
USB Composite Device USB\VID_1058&PID_1102\57442D574341535534363531343936 47
PCI Simple Communications Controller PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1C3A&SUBSYS_844D1043&REV_04\3&11583659&0&B0 The drivers for this device are not installed.

The SM bus and PCI need to be updated from your mobo manufacturer site.

You also have some problems with Windows Update
Please go to your Maintenance Center and check the Windows Update status. Make sure you are up to date, do them one by one manually if needed.

thanks for the quick reply!
I don't know how I missed the missing drivers, just updated them.
Windows Update wise I've checked and I'm fully up to date.
Will see if the missing chipset drivers were really the cause and will report back in a few days.
Thanks again!

Before I get to looking at the new dump:

It is possible for windows update to not notify of you new updates because your window update needs to be reset.

First, go to the link given by MvdB regarding update reset.

Then carry out this procedure. Please read and reread and skip no steps.

UPDATING YOUR WIN 7

ASSURE THAT YOU RECEIVE ALL UPDATES

WIN | type WINDOWS UPDATE | ENTER |
Change settings (left-hand column) |
checkmark all four of the boxes | OK
button

Approve any dialog boxes presented. Let Windows install any update features.

WIN is the key with the Microsoft flag on top.

INSTALL CRITICAL UPDATES

Check for Updates (left-hand column)
Install
ALL critical updates.
Restart your computer (even if not prompted)

Repeat this procedure until there are no more critical updates.

DO NOT TRUST the “Windows is up to date” in center of dialog. until you see that TWICE IN A ROW!

INSTALL IMPORTANT UPDATES

Use the “critical update” procedure until all important updates are installed.

INSTALL OPTIONAL UPDATES

Use the “critical update” procedure until all optional updates are installed.

Under Optional updates you will be presented with a list of about 34 language updates.
You can hide those updates so that aren't continually notified of those updates. When you click on 34 optional updates are available, then you
a) highlight all of the language updates,
b) right-click anywhere in the highlighted list.
c) click on Hide Updates,
d) OK button.
UPDATE GOLDEN RULES
Install ALL, yes, ALL updates.
This is Win 7 and not Vista or XP (eXPired).

UPDATE IS HUNG –TAKING FOREVER

Hung is very doubtful unless you interrupted updates.

CTRL + SHIFT + ESC key combo will pop-up the Task Manager.
Lo and behold, Windows Update is still running!

You hold down the CTRL and SHIFT keys.
While holding them down, tap the ESC key once.

You still have problems with USB devices, both according to logs as well as your last dump:

HTML:
CDC Serial USB\VID_04E8&PID_685E&MI_01\8&25C3F84&0&0001 The drivers for this device are not installed.
SAMSUNG_Android USB\VID_04E8&PID_685E&MI_03\8&25C3F84&0&0003 The drivers for this device are not installed.

In your Devices screen, disable all USB devices except for mouse/keyboard.
Try, if possible, to connect mouse and keyboard to the same USB hub (a USB 2.0 one) and disconnect/disable the other hubs.
Also, disconnect the Samsung.

You also seem to have iPAD/iPhone connections made (or tried). Delete that software please. The corresponding driver usbaapl64.sys was unclear in the dump.

Test.

OK, I disconnected everything. What do you mean delete the iPhone software? Remove iTunes?

If that is the only Apple thing you ever installed, as a test, yes. That driver was not loaded correctly. Doesn't have to be a real problem but you need to run stable first...
