Random BSOD's again, this time instantly when I started Skyrim.

Don't know. They provide a USB key installer that does everything for you, so there shouldn't be an issue.

It thinks I have Linux.

Still pointing to memory problems. Either you do not have enough RAM (doubtful with 4 GB; that should be plenty), or your memory has errors.

Were you ever able to get Memtest86+ to run? http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/92177-boot-windows-7-system-repair-disc-usb-using-grub4dos.html may help if you cannot get the Memtest86+ USB maker to work.

Sorry, I was not clear about what you were supposed to do with the information in that link. The steps in Boot Windows 7 System Repair Disc from USB Using Grub4Dos can be used for getting an ISO on a USB drive. I was suggesting that you use only the steps for getting the Grub4Dos and then putting your Memtest86+ ISO on the USB using the Grub4Dos program.

OK, so. I found out why it didn't install. There is this switch on the USB key, it makes the key read-only. I knew about this switch but didn't think about it until now.

I have installed the Memtest onto the key and will try it when I go to sleep. It takes very long, amirite? :p

Something must have gone wrong. I booted from the disk just fine, but it tested extremely fast and I got 13 errors and 0 passes in less than a minute.

It should not test this fast?

Did it finish the pass after a while, or did you stop it when the errors occurred? It can find errors very quickly if the RAM is outright bad, which it sounds like it is. Proceed with Part 3 of the Memtest86+ tutorial.

For Part 3: If You Have Errors: If you swap any memory components, follow these steps for ESD safety:
  1. Shut down and turn off your computer.
  2. Unplug all power supplies to the computer (AC Power then battery for laptops, AC power for desktops)
  3. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds to close the circuit and ensure all power drains from components.
  4. Make sure you are grounded by using proper grounding techniques, i.e. work on an anti-static workbench, anti-static desk, or an anti-static pad. Hold something metallic while touching it to the anti-static surface, or use an anti-static wristband to attach to the anti-static material while working.
Once these steps have been followed, it is safe to remove and replace components within your computer.

Doing a memtest now with only 1 stick. So far passed 2 times.

EDIT:Ok, I just tested the first stick, 7 passes without errors. Then I tested the second one, on the same lane as I tested the first one on. It instantly got errors, so obviously it is the stick that is bad.

I have reinstalled the good stick, so now I only have 2GB RAM. Now I'm considering buying an upgrade pack that has 2x4GB RAM. And I got a little off-topic question; do I need to buy a new PSU only when I upgrade for a ASUS Z68 mobo, a Intel I5 2500K, and 2x4GB Kingston HyperX 1600Mhz RAM?

Note that it is an upgrade PACK, so it will be cheaper obviously. So please do not come with suggestions.

Glad to see you narrowed down which module was causing problems. :D

May I suggest asking your hardware question in the Hardware & Devices - Windows 7 Forums forum? They have better experience with determining the best deals for hardware packages.
