Random BSODS and programs crashing.

Hi,

For the past few months now my computer has been running very slowly, with programs constantly crashing and at least 3 times a day I get a BSOD, sometimes more.

The blue screens always either read Memory_Management or Page_Fault_In_Non_Paged_Area, and bluescreenview says that ntoskrnl.exe is the culprit.
I have no idea how to read these logs and I was wondering if anyone could help me.

Besides the BSODS, the computer just isn't performing as well as it should. Applications always stop working, pages in chrome randomly crash and where I used to be able to get 60+ FPS in games, I now barely manage 40-50. For some reason I am also unable to complete a windows update.
I have also tried the steps here:
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html

It came up that some files were corrupted but when I tried to complete step 3, it said that that path did not exist.
I have also ran the CHKDSK command for each of my drives but it all came up clean.

I have reinstalled windows about 5 times, and I'm on a recently fresh windows right now, which leads me to believe that it is hardware, but I have no idea how to check.

I have attached a few of the most recent dump files, so i hope this helps.

Please, I'm getting desperate now,

Thanks in Advance.

TheReignOfChaos,

Welcome to SevenForums.

Now with a name like that I'm going to take a wild guess: If you are overclocking, then stop.

Now until one of our true BSOD analyst is free to accurately and thoroughly evaluate your submitted info, I have two requests:

Request Nr 1:
===================
Update your SevenForums System Specs
User CP (located on the top menu bar) |
Your Profile | Edit System Spec
(left-hand column)

To gather info, use Speccy (my favorite) or SIW or System Info

In the System Manufacturer Block, enter:
Manufacturer and Model and
ADD the word laptop, desktop, netbook or tablet.
For example:
Toshiba Satellite L305D notebook.

Provide full windows version info, for example:
MS Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit

Use the “Other Info” block for Optical Reader,
Mouse, touchpad, wifi adapter, speakers, monitor, etc

Scroll down and click on SAVE CHANGES.

You will find that in Speccy, you can select info from the display
using your mouse/touchpad and then paste that info into your specs.

SIW is a marvelous program, but the free version does not offer
this capability.

Very good.

Now let's see what your current bios version is:

# STEP 1 ** RUN POWERSHELL AS ADMINISTRATOR
WIN key | type POWERSHELL | do NOT hit ENTER |
in the PROGRAMS list, right-click on WINDOWS POWERSHELL |
choose "Run as administrator" |
Click on the YES button (if such appears)

# STEP 2 ** COPY AND PASTE
COPY the script using CTRL+C,
PASTE into Powershell
---Right-Click at the PowerShell Prompt
---(Ctrl+V does not work)

WIN key = key with Microsoft logo on top
===========================================

Paste the oneliner into PowerShell.
This oneliner will put biosinfo.txt onto your desktop. Attach to your next post.

gwmi win32_bios > $env:userprofile\desktop\biosinfo.txt

either way userprofile should point to the correct location.

Go back into powershell and type:
Cd $env:userprofile

Where do you end up?

you can also use:
gwmi win32_bios > 'e:\users\jake\desktop\biosinfo.txt'

When typing in Cd $env:userprofile, I end up in C:\users\Jake.

I previously moved my desktop to E: because my E: drive is larger than C: .

How I got around this was I just created a folder called 'desktop' in the C: Path, and I have now uploaded what you asked from me in post 4.

Also: I uploaded the file from step 3 in:
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials...e-checker.html

It says something about wininet.dll.

Your bios is most probably current with a may 25 date, but best would be for you to go to the website of the board mfg and at the same time check for other driver/chipset updates.

The error msg in the sfcdetails bothers me because that is an important file.

As a test I'd like for you to run another script:

PHP:
# ************************************************************
# Places LOGONTIMES.TXT on your DESKTOP
#
# Shows the date and time of logons of current user
# ************************************************************

$events = Get-WinEvent -FilterHashtable @{logname='application'; id=4101; level=4} `
-verbose:$false -erroraction:silentlycontinue
$events | ft timecreated,message -auto -wrap > $env:userprofile\desktop\LOGONTIMES.txt

EXIT
EXIT

# ************************************************************

Upload the resulting logontimes.txt file please.

Good. That means that the backup copy (in the store) is corrupted but the copy in sytem32 is good. Causes are many.

that script uses wininit.dll

Go ahead and run about 6 passes of MemTest86+.

That will test your memory and also is not a short test. You might want to run it overnight.

The only other general piece of advice has to do with your CPU and Graphic temps. Here I monitor temps if I'm not in a climate-controlled location as the unit can get too hot. Heat causes first wierd bsods and then shuts the computer down.

Should I run the test with both sticks as is now, or like it says and do every stick singularly in every slot?

If i do the latter, how am i meant to do it overnight.

My approach is to first run with all modules in and just before hitting the rack to see if an error has already been found. If yes, then I start immediately with the stick by stick testing.

If no errors show at that first check, just let it run overnight, just make sure that you don't have a heat problem which will complicate matter. In other words, in a warm environment, take the cover off and direct a fan at the unit to help keep the temps down.
