1 - Check your cpu temperature

Holding fast at 38 degrees C

Currently doing the Prime95 test, will report back in two hours

ps: Did you overclock your Processor or something?

Nope, I haven't gotten around to that yet

Disconnect the WD drive....does the error still occur?

I'll run the stress test with it plugged in, then without it plugged in and let you know

Thank you, and I'll be back with more updates and things.

EDIT:
Finished the 2 hour stress test with Prime95, no errors whatsoever. Core temperatures varied between 60 and 70 degrees C, never above 70. I will unplug my external drive for the week and see how that goes

This is just an update, I spent the week without the WD Drive plugged in, no errors. I've since plugged it back in after reformatting it, and I have not yet experienced any crashes. Any ideas why it would have crashed in the first place?

The problem was the Western Digital backup software service that comes pre-installed on the drive conflicting with Windows.

Since you formatted the drive, that service no longer exists and you should no longer have problems.

Thank you all for the help, I will mark it as solved for now then since I haven't had another BSOD since I reformatted.
