I've been getting BSOD's at random times. From web browsing to playing games sometimes it just crashes. This is coupled with overall slow performance and programs acting up like chrome constantly crashing. I had this issue before but I got a new GPU which I thought would help the problem but I'm still getting crashes.

Hi there,

Your video card driver is one of the reason of the BSODs.

  1. Uninstall the ATI video card drivers including the Catalyst Center.
  2. Reboot the computer and install only the driver (excluding Catalyst Center) from here.

Run system file checker to verify/repair the integrity of system files.
Full tutorial here: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html

Take memtest. Run for 8 passes and test each stick in a know good slot for an additional 6 passes.
   Note
Pay close attention to part 3 of the tutorial in order to rule out the faulty stick.

   Information
Errors are sometimes found after 8 passes.

   Tip
Do this test overnight, before going to bed.

If Memtest86+ does not find any errors with ram run Windows Memory Diagnostics for 7-8 passes following its tutorial:

I haven't had any blue screens in the past few days, but there's definitely still a problem. The video card seems to be acting up, or something related to it. The screen bugs out and it kind of looks like a couple row of pixels were shifted to the side like this, and I have to turn off the computer by pressing the button.
------
....------
------
....-----

I've run chkdsk a couple of times, it hasn't seemed to have helped much. The first one was manually scheduled by me and it seemed to be fixing things, but the next couple of times were done automatically by windows and just looked like it was scanning all of the files without finding a problem

I've attached some pictures of what the screen looks like when it bugs out.

I do not have any other sticks of RAM to try.

Have you uninstalled the AMD CCC? It's more trouble than it's worth really. Check your GPU power cables and its slot for a full good connection. Wiggle your VGA/DVI/HDMI cables to see if that causes the funked up display.
