hello
i bought an MSI GT70 2OD gaming laptop a few months ago. after 3 months of arguing they took it back since it gave me random BSODs. the new one came, same issue. since the customer service is incompetent i've decided to fix it myself. the BSODs stopped for 2 days after i downgraded the video card driver but happened again a few minutes ago. like the last one, the BSODs don't point to any particular driver as the cause.
thanks in advance

Hi mhb.

Download and install Intel® Iris™ and HD Graphics Driver for Windows* 7/8/8.1 64bit.

Free up the startup. Windows does not need any other program to auto start with it, but the auto start programs often conflicts and causes various problems including BSODs.

  1. Click on the Start button
  2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window with the "general" tab selected. .
  3. Select the “Startup” tab.
    • Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
    • Apply > OK
  4. Click on "services" tab.
    • Check the "Hide all Microsoft Services"
    • Click "Disable all" > Apply > OK
  5. Accept then restart.
Let us know the results. Additional actions may be required depending on the situation.
