Hi,

I'm having an issue with random BSOD's.

I've performed a RAM test a couple of days ago and it took over 6 hours to complete that.
No errors reported.
I've also performed a graphics memory test using Video Memory Test (VMT), and i've also used Furmark to test for graphics related issues.
Again, no errors reported.

I can't pin it down to anything specifically but the i seem to get these random blue screens is when i'm using Firefox web browser.
More so if i'm typing something either on a forum or web search.
So far, i've had no issues with BSODs as a result of playing games.
It seems to be a case of the system crashing when on the web.

I've included my SF diagnostic info as required.

Thank you for any assistance.

First uninstall AVG/ it can be a cause of BSOD's. Replace with Microsoft Security Essentials & the Free version of Malwarebytes, update and make full scans separately:

Reduce items at start up:
Antivirus software is basically whats just needed there.

Daemon Tools (and Alcohol % software) are known to cause BSOD's on some Win7 systems (mostly due to the sptd.sys driver, although we have seen dtsoftbus01.sys blamed on several occasions). Please uninstall Daemon Tools.
Code:
Start Menu\Programs\Alcohol 120%	Public:Start Menu\Programs\Alcohol 120%	Public

As an alternative, many people recommend the use of Total Mounter or Magic ISO

Virtual Software causing problems also.

Please uninstall both software above with Revo Free:

   Note
Download and install Revo Uninstaller free from here:
Opt for "Advanced Mode" and uninstall the software (also delete the leftover registry entries).

Thank you for the advice KoolKat.

So far i'm yet to experince a crash and all i have done upto yet is uninstall AVG, run TDSSkiller (nothing found), run Eset scan (nothing found) and the SFC /scannow command in the cmd window.

So far so good so i'm guessing tha it has been something to with AVG.
Not sure why though as i've used it without a single issue for a couple of years now.

I'll update you should the BSOD surface again.

A quick update.

My machine has run pretty flawlessly after following your advice KoolKat.
Up until today anyway.

I was using Firefox again and was watching an item on eBay.
As i entered the amount for my bid the system had frozen like it was going to do its familiar crash to the BSOD.
However, the screen flickered for a little bit and then a message at the far right hand side of my Windows menu bar flashed up stating that the Nvidia driver had crashed and that it successfully recovered.
It then did it again less than a minute later when i was entering a new bid on eBay.
I lost the auction as a result.

At least this time, the system didn't bomb out completely so i am now thinking of downgrading my Nvidia drivers back to the last stable release i had which i believe were the 314.22's.
