Things either freeze up or the audio studders. Both cases are a royal pain to deal with. Comp is a custom build and I've even resorted to reformatting several weeks ago. Just got done finishing running memtest and it said I passed..could one of you fabulous wizards assist?

How many passes of memtest?

Your .dmp file shows a stop error of 0x124 which is a general hardware error .

A "stop 0x124" is fundamentally different to many other types of bluescreens because it stems from a hardware complaint.

Stop 0x124 minidumps contain very little practical information, and it is therefore necessary to approach the problem as a case of hardware in an unknown state of distress.

You can read more on this error and what to try here... http://www.sevenforums.com/crash-lockup-debug-how/35349-stop-0x124-what-means-what-try.html

I've only done one pass. Both memtest and the built in Windows tool turned up nothing, perhaps I'll leave memtest running over night. Dunno how things have gone downhill as my system was running fine when I first put it together in August. My comp is currently overclocked, temps are fine, but I dunno.

Overclocking is probably causing the hardware error, memtest needs to be run for 6-7 passes AFTER you reset to default.

I went ahead and updated my bios to the latest version that listed better stability as part of the features list. Hopefully that will end the errors. Even if I am error free, I'll run memtest before I go to bed at stock speeds
