Solved Random BSODs with netio.sys always being pointed to

[sl1322]

Okay so, I've been trying to fix issues with my computer for a good while now. Used to be where it'd crash almost every time I tried to do anything. Was able to trace it to a power supply issue. But a couple weeks later I started getting BSODs again. They're random and far less frequent (maybe once a day now). I've tested my ram by using Memtest, by using one stick at a time, changing the configuration, and even testing them in another person's computer and they always worked fine. My temps are usually less then 70C. I've tried updating drivers, but I'm not sure if there were any that I missed. As the title suggests, the BSODs seem random and I'm getting tired of just trying to deal with them. I just built this computer in Dec, 2012. My crash zip from the SF Diag Tools will be uploaded with this post. Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Probably caused by : [COLOR="red"]NETIO.SYS[/COLOR] ( NETIO!StreamClassify+135 )

NETIO.SYS is a Windows I/O Network Subsystem driver, and there is most probably an issue with the network card drivers or a Internet security program which has it's own in-built firewall.

Scan for any missing, modified or corrupted protected Windows files with:

Install and perform full scans with:

• Malwarebytes : Free anti-malware download
• Microsoft Security Essentials | Protect against viruses, spyware, and other malware

Remember to install the free version of Malwarebytes not the free trail; untick the free trial box during installation. MSE is the most lightweight and compatible with the Windows 7 operating system

Check for any Windows Updates:

Start rb: > Check for Updates > Install Important/Optional Updates > Reboot (if required)

Thank you for your response. I ran the sfc /scannow command a few times and it came back saying there was a file that it could not fix. So, I moved on to the Malwarebytes, ran it and it came back with an affected file. I let it restart my computer and remove the file. Ran Malwarebytes again and it came back with everything okay. Ran Security Essentials and came back with nothing aswell. Installed the optional updates on the Windows Update and ran the sfc command again. It came back saying that it found some corrupt files but was not able to fix them. I'll upload the CBS.log file with this post. I'll also let my computer run over night and see if it will crash again. Thank you again for your help.

Good work with removing the malicious file, and some system files have been corrupted, so this in situation it would be advisable to try a Repair Install:

Have you managed to update the network driver?

I've been looking into trying to update the network drivers but I can't seem to really find a "how to" or really which ones to try to update, Goggle really doesn't come up with anything helpful. I'll try the repair install and try the sfc command again.

Okay so, I did the repair install, got all the updates from windows update, and ran the sfc command again. Sfc came back with no errors this time. Again, I'm going to let my computer run over night and see if it'll crash. You've been a huge help so far and I really appreciate it.

Alright, I'll go ahead and grab that driver. I went ahead and let my computer run all night and it didn't crash. Actually hasn't crashed sense you started helping me, so I'll go ahead and mark the thread as solved. Thank you very much for all your help.
