Random BSOD's

I have no idea what might be causing this. I've been told it was uTorrent, or it was ZoneAlarm...

I have tried both with them on and off.

I have just experienced two BSOD's. The first one without ZA (neither uTorr) activated, and the second one with ZA on (uTorr off). Help please?

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit
Upgraded from OEM Windows Vista Home Premium 64
OS is less than 1 year old installed, as well as the hardware.

If the BSODs persist, complete the following:

• Remove ZoneAlarm.
• Remove AVG with this tool: AVG - Download tools
• Install MSE as a replacement: http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials

Since you're at it I'd like to know:
How good is MS Essentials against AVG and/or ZoneAlarm?

More specifically:
Does MSE has a Resident Protection System, Heuristics Analysis, and "Check On Open" feature?

MSE: as good as AVG as far as protection goes.

It's not comparable to ZoneAlarm, because it is not a firewall. When you install it, it will prompt you to turn on the Windows Firewall, which is as secure as ZA, but without the bells and whistles.

Thanks for the info. I have been thinking of replacing them with MS security software for some time. Having that said from someone that actually knows what he's talking about makes me trust that decision. I'll try and see if I get other BSOD's.
