Random BSODS

I've been having daily BSOD crashes. Sometimes my computer might just hang up completely from long playing sessions and other times it runs fine for a few hours until i go away leaving the computer idling and come back to see it restarted from another crash. I thought it was a driver problem at first so formatted (hadn't in a while anyway)

Today i just got two BSODS right after turning on my computer and logging on one after the other which has prompted me to get to the bottom of this problem. Any help would be appreciated with this!

I've given two dumps. One was while idling and the other was just after logging in when turning my computer on.

Thanks in advance!

Just a little bump. Would very much appreciate it if someone could pull me in the right direction to sort these BSODS. Still getting them when left idle. Thanks again!

Bump again, Have also uploaded the dumps via the dm log collector. Still getting lots of bsods at very inconsistent times. Sometimes the machine will be fine for hours on end and other times it'll start BSODing a few seconds upon logging in on start up 3-4 times in a row!

This is your Fresco Logic xHCI USB 3.0 driver, update it.

Run sfc /scannow and chkdsk /r.
Install the latest updates from Windows Update.

Do the exact same steps for chkdsk /r but instead of typing in sfc /scannow type chkdsk /r.

Hey thanks! I had the latest driver from what i could see but re-installed it again. Did the /scannow and no problems appeared. chkdsk/r threw a text that said the volume is in use so i opted to scan it after restart. Did so and it can up as volume is clean. Going to keep an eye out on it. Will report back if another BSOD pops up!

Thanks again for your time and help, much appreciated!

Please remove items from the startup
How to remove items from startup - Windows 7 Help Forums
These programs could interfere with the boot process giving you trouble.

Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.

  1. Uninstall Daemon Tools
  2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
    • Double click the executable to open it
    • Click on the button shown below

34700d1440923396-bsod-0x124-whea_uncorrectable_error-nothing-works-a887c9d9e7.png

If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window.

The cause is a USB driver, you can only update this driver through the manufacturer of your mainboard.
But I would first uninstall Daemon tools to find out if Daemon tools is causing this.

Your image was broken, so i assume you meant that the uninstall was greyed out, which it was. Will keep a look out and respond back. I have also in the mean time put up a thread on the manufactures forum in the hopes that they have some alternative driver that might fix the issue. Thank you again!

A broken image usually occurs when the internet speed is a little poor or the site hasn't loaded properly.
But yes, that is indeed what I meant.
