Hello,

I am getting random BSODS with my new system. I am suspecting a video card driver (BFG 9800 GTX+) but not sure what to do.

AMD PIII 965
MSI 980-G65
4 Gig Kingston Hyper X DDR3 1600
BFG 9800 GTX+

Any help is appreciated.

Hi,

Make sure you have the latest nVidia drivers directly from them: Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers

Code:
FLASHSYS64.sys Fri Feb 15 21:00:23 [COLOR=Red]2008[/COLOR]
That driver appears to be part of MSI's overclocking software.. it needs to be updated.

Also check the temperatures of the graphics card while it is under stress.

Thank you for the reply, I cannot find a more current version of that driver from MSI. I do have the most current driver from NVIDIA and I dont know how to monitor the GPU temp.

Thank you,

I would suggest that you uninstall the application in that case.

To check the graphics card temps use a program like speedfan: Download SpeedFan

Note: Speedfan is not the most accurate at monitoring but it you can run it from inside Windows and it will give you a general idea.
