Random Crashes

I'm experiencing frequent freezes at various times. Doesn't matter what I'm doing everything will freeze and only thing I can do is hold down power button till computer turns off then restart.
Earlier I got a BSOD that said;

Current on all Windows updates

► Free up the startup.

1. Click on the Start button
2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
3. Select the “Startup” tab.
4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
5. Apply > OK
6. Accept the restart.

Ran the Intel Driver Update Utility Wireless tool and installed the recommeded driver. I'll post back after the computer has run a while with the new driver.
