Usually but not always when running games. So I did a complete and fresh reinstall and upon updating had another crash:

this has been happening ever since I upgraded to Win 7Pro x64 from Vista x64.

however this was a completely new and fresh install from the disk that I received in the mail from Microsoft. the key is validated, it is legit. all drivers have been updated via manufacturers websites, I am flashing bios right now. any suggestions as this is really getting more annoying!

thanks and I appreciate any helpful responses.

James.

I have run mem diags, HDD diags, and done the sfc scan with no indications of hardware failure.

here is the minidump file. the crash has only happened twice maybe 3 times since reformatting, the problem being intermittent doesn't help, but hopefully there's only something basic that I'm missing.

That's a 0x24 error.

Here are some drivers which should be updated to latest:
Code:
netr28ux netr28ux.sys Thu Jul 31 00:27:15 2008
nvm62x64 nvm62x64.sys Fri Oct 17 17:01:06 2008

From an elevated command prompt, run
Code:
chkdsk /r C:
for each partition on the system (Change C: to match them each time.)

after updating to nvidia's newest display drivers.

I then attempted to uninstall the display drivers and reinstall newest driver again in safe mode: it didn't let me saying that there was no display driver avail...

Display driver NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version XXX.XX stopped responding and has successfully recovered were constant messages leading to the one of two bsod's

so many people experience this. I know it's a driver to Win 7/even Vista thing. so why make Vista(terrible) AND Win 7 without having hardware that can work with it?

I am so frustrated this is ridiculous..
