Solved Random Freezes, BSOD, error 0x116

Baasha, were you able to get this resolved?

No, I am in fact still waiting on a replacement board from ASUS. They said one should be shipped out to me this week.

I will update this thread once I have the board and can test it to make sure everything is working well.

I'm sorry to hear that Baasha. Did you RMA GPU #2 as well? You said you could not get that one to post in any of the PCIe lanes. This could indicate a bad GPU. While you are waiting on the MoBo, you might as well, right? Let us know how things go.

All four GPUs were able to POST and worked fine; I was able to run benchmarks on them. The monitor turning off (going to sleep) and forced hard-reboots were happening randomly and with more frequency.

The last time I tried to make the system work, I was in the BIOS to make sure all the settings were correct and the computer locked up; black screen and another forced reboot.

I received the new RMA from ASUS (a different board - same model) and set up everything yesterday evening. Ran benchmarks, played some games, and even OC'd the CPU and GPU. The system runs great now! :geek:

So, this "issue" is resolved! It was a bad motherboard all along; wish ASUS sent me a new board to begin with - it would have saved me about four weeks of anxiety!

Thanks for your help! :)
