Solved Random freezes with buzzy sound(even using driver verifier for BSOD's)

I really need help

Hi, I've been using ubuntu 12.04 for almost 2 years, so a few months ago I decided to install windows 7 (mostly for gaming). since the first week my pc just lock up (freeze) at random times, also do a buzzy sound from the speakers. I did a clean install again but didn't work, I've tried installing windows 8, 8.1 as well but it still freezes.

Already tried updating drivers (using differents softwares like driver booster or slimdrivers), scans for viruses, spyware, malware, updating the BIOS, repairing the registry, checking the CPU and GPU temps (which are good, so it's not overheating), also run memtest for about 17 hours (did 7 passes and without a single error) and NOTHING WORK

I decided to use driver verifier looking for a bad driver or something like that, but the pc still freeze and didn't show up any BSOD's. So I really don't know what to do know

Using ubuntu NEVER got me a freeze or crash, that's why I believe it's a software issue.

system specs:
CPU: AMD fx 6100 six core
GPU: Nvidia gt 730 1gb DDR5
Memory: 6GB DDR3 (4gb + 2gb Kingston)
Motherboard: A970M-A DELUXE
SO: Windows 7 ultimate x64

Stop using Driver Booster and Slimware to download and install drivers - drivers from these sites have a poor reputation. All you need to do is access the manufacturers sites to get the appropriate driver.

For now, just do this, and nothing else:

1. Download the DM Log Collector application to your desktop by clicking the link below

DM Log Collector.exe

2. Run it by double-clicking the icon on your desktop, and follow the prompts.
3. Locate the .ZIP file that is created on your desktop, and upload it here in your next reply.

Today after reading other forums, I found someone with the same problem, he did all kind of things and nothing worked, so he solved his problem installing windows 7 without SP1. He said that windows 7 with SP1 causes crashes and freezes on some computers. So I found a hotfix of microsoft for this problem, after I installed and restarted the pc, I didn't get any freeze yet (it's been around 7 hours).

I'll keep testing the pc for a couple days more and if I don't get more freezes I'll mark this thread as solved and add the link of the hotfix, maybe can be usefull for someone else.

If I get another freeze I will update this thread.

EDIT: Yup, just got another freeze, so the hotfix didn't work.

The Xbox driver is the issue, not Windows 7. Try updating it.

Install a genuine Windows 7 installation - that will help the issue.

I had the freezes before installing the xbox driver (by now I have it disabled)

And yeah, I've tried with a genuine windows too, but it keeps freezing, then I started trying with differents windows (w8 x64, w8.1 x64), so I ended up with this windows .

Go back to Ubuntu, you won't find a lot of help with a counterfeit Windows 7 installation here.

Ok I finally solved my problem

It's been a week since I installed it and I haven't had any freeze or crash, so I guess it was a bad motherboard after all....
