random freezes

Hello,

I did a fresh install of windows 7 and soon after I've been experiencing random freezes. sometimes it's 10 minutes after a restart sometimes it's a couple hours.

I've been searching the web and installed the hotfix from microsoft that was supposed to fix it but it froze again after the hotfix. I'm at my wits end. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Try in clean boot and let us know

You have a special situation, boot in clean boot mode and leave if for a few days. If the problem does not occur, go through the procedure as shown, but each time wait a few days, since the problem is erratic.
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

If the problem does occur in clean boot, try safe mode. If it happens in CB but not safe mode, probably a driver.
