I installed windows 7 a few weeks back (upgraded from XP) and ever since quite often my programs stop responding for 30-40 seconds and then continue working as usual... its quite odd and very annoying anyone else have the problem and know of a fix?

Did you do an upgrade or a clean install? If you had to reinstall your programs, it was a clean install.

It was a clean install. prior to 7 I was still using XP.

Also check your memory, take the memory diagnostic test. Just type that in search.

Memory shouldn't be the problem everything worked perfectly fine prior to installing windows 7.... there's a chance but I doubt it.

Also check for errors. Event viewer in search.

errors:

This is the error with the most events more then once on everyday so I assume this is the problem.

Hello, Welcome to SF,

Can you post the MSINFO32 file

MSINFO32:
Please go to Start and type in "msinfo32.exe" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Save the report as an .nfo file, then zip up the .nfo file and upload/attach the .zip file with your next post.

If you're having difficulties with the format, please open an elevated (Run as administrator) Command Prompt and type "msinfo32 /nfo C:\Users\Public\Desktop\TEST.NFO" (without the quotes) and press Enter. Then navigate to the C:\Users\Public\Desktop directory to retrieve the TEST.NFO file. If you have difficulties with making this work, please post back.

The BSOD problem was caused by a bad wireless card driver and that's been fixed.

Hello, Sorry for the Deplayed replay

I guess its still an issue with your Network driver according to your Event viewer PCI\VEN_1814&DEV_0301&SUBSYS_00551737&REV_00&#x00 which is refering to your N/W driver or Routor i guess that might be the problem you might wanna reinstall it

Good Luck,
Captain
