I'm probably missing something here... But what exactly is the point of this ?
Random number generation is one of the basic functions provided as-is in any language.
Hell, just open powershell in Windows and type Get-Random, and you'll get just that. No need to install anything, it's already built-in Windows.
You can even use ECHO %RANDOM% at command prompt if you're old school...

Sorry, there MUST be something I'm missing...

LOL.

I wasn't trying to criticize you, but I'm not sure why people would download it.

A more interesting program, kinda similar to that would be a random password generator. Something to use for all the passwords you need for websites/window login/wifi key/etc..

You'll just have to create an alpha-numeric password (A-Z, 0-9) instead of a number.

There are various websites offering that already but a light local program might interest people who want to have a strong password.

It would be really interesting if the user could select number's range, or for password, it's length and characters that may appear and so on, a bit more customization may make the difference here :)

As for a real challenge, instead of generating them locally, download them from Random.org webservices!

JBmorris as many people are saying what is the point, i like you first started coding with a number generator.

Rome wasn't built in a day!

Can you try to add some radio buttons where the user can select the amount of numbers they would like to generate :)

Start simple and slowly develop! :)

Look im my signature for a tutorial i have written, it may help you.

When I was at Uni in the 60's, we didn't have computers so if we needed random numbers for a math problem, you had to buy a book of random numbers. Made a great (shoplifted) Xmas/birthday present for your stoner mate - well it was the 60's . . .

Here is a generator for passwords.

I used it once but because I don't keep passwords on my computer I had to type the long ass pass word in. I couldn't copy/paste.

Guys, I think i have bad news... the computer i use to develop programs has stopped working, and I don't feel like installing Visual Basic on this computer. Sorry.

You could simply use the command line compiler to generate programs (included in the .net framework), and something as rusty as notepad for writing (although Notepad2 or Notepad++ will be much better and still very light).

SharpDevelop is a great alternative to the full fledged Visual Studio, and again much ligher. Don't remember if it supports VB.NET though, but I guess it does.

I've Been thinking of making a random generator in a batch file.
