I've been having BSOD problems with this computer ever since I got it back in December. I built/ordered it from CyberPowerPC. I called them and their tech told me to do a fresh install of Windows 7, which I did and have still had problems.

I did configure my computer to create minidumps at failure, but I do not have a minidump folder in C:\Windows\.

My computer randomly restarted during a game I was playing and failed to restart so I ran the start up repair tool to see what would happen and I noticed this in the log:

Root Cause Found
0xc000005, 0xfffff96001a9252, 0xfffff8800274ac00x 0x0
Repair Action: System Restore
Result: Failed. Error Code 0x1f

Windows 7 64bit Home Prem
Mobo is a Gigabyte GA-870A-UD3
AMD Phenom II X4 945
Gfx is a ATI Radeon HD 5700 series

If anyone can shine some light on this for me, it'd be greatly appreciated!

Read the last part of the first post in this tutorial and confirm that your computer is properly configured for small memory dumps - not large memory dumps. If you are using an automatic cleaning program such as Ccleaner, make sure that it is NOT configured to delete dump files. Dump files should be unchecked. If your computer is configured properly for small memory dumps (mini dumps), do a search of your C: drive for "*.dmp" (without the quotes).
[Bugcheck 1F, SHARED_RESOURCE_CONV_ERROR. I don't have much information on this error. Here is what Microsoft suggests: Bug Check 0x1F: SHARED_RESOURCE_CONV_ERROR.
The following actions might prevent an error like this from happening again:

  1. Download and install updates and device drivers for your computer from Windows Update.
  2. Scan your computer for computer viruses.
  3. Check your hard disk for errors.
The 0xc000005 code indicates a memory error, probably memory corruption.

Read this tutorial and follow the instructions. Upload all of the files and we will be able to look more in depth and possibly make better, more precise recommendations: http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-debugging/96879-blue-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html

Thanks for your help. I did a fresh install of Windows about a week ago. My computer is configured to create small memory dumps, not large memory dumps. The only .dmp file I could find was in C:\Windows.old\Minidump and it is attached to this post with the other files.

You are welcome for the help and thank you for uploading the files. The uploaded dump occurred before your reinstall and is of limited use. But it is a guide.

I suggest that you uninstall McAfee Security using this removal tool: Tool. McAfee is a well know cause of BSOD's on some Win 7 systems. I cannot tell what version you are running because I can't find the drivers. Download and install Microsoft Security Essentials in its place.

I find this out of date driver loading on your system. Update it or uninstall Easy Saver.
gdrv.sys 3/12/2009 - Gigabyte Easy Saver - mobo power utility driver. GIGABYTE - Support & Downloads - Downloads - Motherboard.
Before you reinstalled, you had the following driver loaded on your system. I cannot determine if it is loading now; but if you have Easy Tune6 installed, uninstall it. The driver is an XP driver and way obsolete.
GVTDrv64.sys 9/5/2006 - Gigabyte EasyTune6 driver (known issues w/Win7) GIGABYTE - Support & Downloads - Utility - Motherboard.
Follow these suggestions and see if it helps the stability of your system.

I uninstalled McAfee (a free trial that was probably downloaded through a Windows update) and I also uninstalled Easy Saver by Gigabyte. I did not see Easy Tune6 on my program list this time though.

So far I have not had any problems today, but usually I'll find a temporary solution and a week later I'd start having problems again. I will post here, or if it is okay with you, I will PM you if I have any further problems.

This PC has been quite a headache ever since I bought it. Shouldn't I get some kind of reimbursement for the trouble? LOL

Very good and thanks much for reporting back. I don't think the free trial of McAfee came from Windows Update. That would be the first time I have ever heard of that. The Easy Tune utility may not be on your system since the reinstall. Ignore that driver for now.

If you have further problems, do post back here in this thread and PM me or VM me in case I miss it. I hope your problems are over! :)
