I have the random restart on Windows 7 that everyone has been complaining about. I have attached a zip file containing the information requested in BSOD - Posting Instructions. Can someone tell me what the problem may be? Thanks!

Welcome to SF, jrmanderson.

Update NVidia driver:

Driver c:\windows\system32\drivers\nvlddmkm.sys (8.15.11.9045, 10.82 MB (11,341,216 bytes), 8/5/2009 6:50 PM)

If it continues with random restart, we can go from there.

I am using a television with my video card. When I update the driver it no longer sees my television. Any ideas?

When you reboot, do you see ANYTHING on the monitor (the bios passing by) before you lose your video?

Can you reboot into safe mode and see your video?

Thanks for your help Lemur! Are you certain that the NVidia drivers are causing the BSOD? I have no experience with the dump files so I have know idea what is causing the BSOD.

Let me give you some more detail. I bought a Galaxy GeForce 8400 GS graphics card because it has an S-Video output I can connect to my old TV. It works fine with the graphics drivers that came with the card. When I update to the latest NVIDIA drivers my TV is no longer detected by the NVIDIA software. My monitor still works fine. Even if I force it to thinking the tv is there it still doesn't see it.

If you're sure it is the video drivers I may have to try a different card.

It's possible. One way to be sure. Run it on the monitor for a while. If you don't get the random restarts, the driver is the culprit.
