Hi all,

I'm trying to troubleshoot my mom's computer so bare with me as I haven't really experienced the problems all that much myself. She claims it sometimes freezes and other times it shut down, all with no rhyme or reason. It actually recently turned itself off while I was in the process of downloading the BSOD dump software.

The freezing was occurring even on Vista. I installed Win7 thinking that a clean install might fix some of the issues. Clearly it has not worked.

- Windows 7 Pro x64
- Vista was the original installed OS on the system
- Full retail version
- System is almost exactly one year old.
- Age of OS installation is a month or two old I think.

Thanks in advance!

I'll check again for dust but I cleaned it fairly recently. I'll also check the CPU. Temps were about 41C as reported from the BIOS hardware system monitor last night.

I also followed the advice of someone on here and updated the following drivers:

ASACPI ASACPI.sys Sun Mar 27 22:30:36 2005
---------

nvlddmkm nvlddmkm.sys Sat Apr 03 20:06:21 2010
---------

netr28x netr28x.sys Tue May 19 09:48:40 2009

After updating the drivers the computer seemed to be running fine and I shut it down last night. This morning, according to her, she turned it on and after loading the desktop it restarted. Then it wouldn't load windows. She tried several times and I guess it eventually offered to restore the system to an earlier point where it was still working. I then took a look at it after it was sitting turned on for a while. I shook the mouse to get the screen to turn on and it restarted. Upon booting, I got a blue screen with a message about 'IRQ not less than equal' I think. It happened too fast for me to really read it.

Anyways, attached are the latest BSOD files. Thanks for the help. She needs this computer for work and she's the type that will go out and buy a new computer the second something is not working.
