Had a i7 860 gigabyte mobo 4gig of ram computer running windows 7 ultimate 64 about 6 months ago, for the year or 2 i had it, when i was playing games it would randomly lock up for a few seconds, whatever key i was pressing would remain to be pressed in the game and it would play windows device disconnect sound and it would fix, VERY VERY ANNOYING, so annoying infact i took that computer and broke it into little peices, litteraly. OK so i took my tax return a few weeks ago and bought a i7 2600 ASUS p8h61-m, 8gig of ram 2tb HD, and for a week it worked fine, can do anything i want while playing games, music, occasionally browse something or whatever, no problems. Today it started doing the same thing, every 10 minutes it will lock up for a sec or 2 and play the device disconnect sound for windows. Can Anyone help me!

Since they had different hardware and worked fine in the beginning I suspect its software and something you loaded again (a favorite game perhaps) that is causing the freezes. Are you overclocking?
