Help! RapidCRC doesn't work in 64 bit Win 7 Pro

Help! RapidCRC doesn't work in 64 bit Win 7 Pro at all. It doesn't even show up as an installed program.

It works for 32 bit Win 7 Pro. Does anyone know of an update or tweak to make RapidCRC work with 64 bit Win 7 Pro?

The last release is from 2005 so I doubt it. There are replacements. Just google it?

Just downloaded it, and it DOES work. You will need to run it as an Administrator.

What do you mean by run it as an Administrator? I've never created any Administrator accounts. There's only one account.

How do you run it as an Administrator? Thanks.

Do you use the account that you created when installing Windows 7? If so, that is an administrative account. Normally, this account runs with standard privileges; however it is possible to elevate it so that you can run an application with the higher administrator privileges. This is done by right-clicking on the application shortcut and selecting Run as administrator. If you are using a standard account (recommended), then you are asked to enter the name and password of an administrative account. If you are already running an administrative account, you are just asked to confirm that you wish to elevate to the higher privilege level.

Incidentally, the program will work from a standard account as well without being elevated. It all depends on the location of the files that you are working with.
