ps. What does it mean then? That Windows 7's networking works differently? Is that the cause?

Nope...the DNS server of your ISP (the one you were using...) is throttling your connection...

Hello, everyone.

I'm suffering from the exact same problems.

I tried the Google DNS method, but all is the same.

I used to download from RS at 1.5MB/s. Now I'm lucky to get anywhere near 100k/s. Also, I can download multiple files at this 'capped' speed, for a total of sometimes 400k/s, but single files are never fast.

I received the same BS email from support, and this is really annoying me.

I tried downloading from my Win7 machine and also from a MacBook, it behaves the same way.

Can somebody help, please?
