RC1 Questions

Hey y'all.

Few questions regarding the pending RC1 release next Tuesday!

1) Will the beta keys work?
2) Is it worth "waiting" until the official release and having to http it, or grabbing a torrent of it now? What is the build number that has been given to MSDN subscribers?
3) Are there any known regressions in the RC that are known?

I suppose, but if you're careful and clued up about what you're getting you won't get something "compromised". Most of the RC1 torrents are just "leaks" of the official MSDN .iso.

I would prefer to download it from microsoft themselves, but http will be soooo sloooooow, however if there asre any last minute fixes or bug squashing's it's worth it i suppose.

yeah, ive had no issues with the unofficial download sources so far. but being this close to an official release, id wait and as you say, might be last minute stuff

I haven't had any issues with it at all. Works better than every previous version that I've used.

And yes, the Beta key still works.

1. Assuming that I got the right build from hata28 (good CRC and the tralala), the beta keys work. Got mine activated. Also, MS will be giving away legal RC keys starting May 5.

3. Hm... According from what I've read yet, I don't think so. Only improvements.
