Re-installing WIN 7 onto a Second Laptop ?

My original laptop was first fprmatted thus wiping the h/d of all the needless software and then I bought a WIN 7 Installation Disk and installed a new WIN 7 onto it using this Disk.

This laptop has now expired and I have replaced it with another . I would like to treat this one the same way and use this Installation Disk once more .

Will I have any problems with MS doing this with licences ?

If it is a retail license you should be able to use it on a different pc.

It may activate straight away - if not - it will pop up a toll free number to call MS.

Why did you buy a new copy of Win7? Did Win7 come with the laptop? You dont' need to buy a new copy as you own the license which came with the machine for life.

Just Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.

The latest official installer ISO with SP1 and tool to burn to DVD or write to flash stick are in the first two steps.
