Solved Re-installing!

My computer crashes everytime on the loadup so I want to delete EVERYTHING on my computer and start all over. I've heard people say to format your hard drive first but when I can't. The "Format" is gray for me and I can't click on it. I want to do it for my C drive. And when that is solved hopefully, what are the next steps after?

You don't "format it first".

Formatting is done as part of the installation as outlined in the tutorial. Follow the tutorial.

Are you trying to format C: from within Windows? That's not permitted. (Windows can't eliminate itself.)

I hope that you have an installation DVD for Win7. If not, you'd be stuck with the manufacturer's restore options. (That restores the system to the factory state, crapware and all.)

This may be a better process, after you have copied out or made back-ups of the data you need to save to external media and want to do a complete wipe secure erase of the entire Hard Disk Drive / Solid State Drive, have a look at Step One of the Optimize tutorial below then boot the Windows installation media to start the Windows 7 clean install process.
