I hope someone can help me. I recently bought a laptop with windows 7. I transfered all of my music files on the new laptop and now all of my music files are listed as read only. Every time I uncheck the read only box then click apply and close the properties box it reverts back to read only

Can someone please tell me how to fix this problem?

Welcome to the Forum

From our excellent library, edited by our own Brink. From the Vista library, but should work equally well with 7.

If you are still having problems make sure that you have ownership of the files.

Let us know if we can be of any further help.

Huh,thanks man,
I just got a call and have to go out at this moment,so I don't have enough time to check every step.
From what I've seen on the fly,I tried something similar but can't say for sure.
I believe I messed up something maybe a week ago after second repair install.
I was taking ownership over something, and because of something but can't remember why right now.I just remember that I thought:"Heh,when I'm doing this right now,why wouldn't I take ownership of the other folders too?I will need them too,for sure.."
I'll check in about 2 hours when I come back, and then let you know, but thanks anyway.
Cheers
