Real Player pixellation?

Hello.

I'm having problems with Real Player. It is installed correctly, does run and show videos but whenever I enlarge the video,it gets pixellated. Now,I know things get pixellated when you stretch them over their native resolution, but this is somewhat different.
The pixellation is very sharp,I'd say.The same goes for default Windows picture viewing program.Whenever I zoom in,it gets immediately pixellated in a very noticable way at say,105%.When using Picasa,I have smoother pixellation even on more zoom, like 250%.
With Picasa, picture viewing is no longer a problem, but I need help with Real Player.

Thanks

It might be the codec for real player, and there could be something wrong with your graphics driver/graphics card.
Look for a update for your graphics card.
Also try VLC player its much better then Real Player, it can basically play any kind of format and its really light.

Thanks for your reply.

My drivers are up to date. Also,I have two seperate machines with both 32 and 64 bit Windows 7 installed, and the same thing occurs in both of them. What's more, the outcome is same on friends' computers too! I have tried different versions of Real Player,no difference.I'm guessing this is caused by some configuration of Win7 as default Windows Picture Viewer suffers from the same problem...(Also on every single machine I've seen)

And unfortunately, even VLC cannot open rmvb files.Tried it out.Sound plays but no video.

try real player alternative and suggest grabbing k-lite codec pac while there- quicktime lite too-

Then just about everything you want to play will play with the included media player classic-

http://www.free-codecs.com/download/real_alternative.htm

VLC player is awesome too but, doesn't play as many types of vids and the real alternative/qt lite have small footprints compared to the full programs- still work in browsers etc.

Not for everyone though but even plays phone vids-

good luck

I have found a solution. Not really a solution but an alternative at least.
I had K-lite codec pack thus Media Player Classic but it wasn't able to play rmvb.Again sound without video.

Searchin the net,I came to this site:
http://www.codecguide.com/faq_playback_issues.htm#item53
There is a guide there to real player related format problems,I followed the instructions there and MPC was able to play rmvb files perfectly.
I wrote all this in case someone with the same problem finds this thread =D

Thanks to everyone =)
