Hey Everyone,

Im really on my last nerve with this now. Before i explain my issue here is some Key Info;

ISP: BT (British Telecom)
Router: BT Home Hub 5
Connection Speed: 25mb Down, 6mb Up
Connection Type: BT Infinity
Product im Using: ZyXEL 1200gb Power Line Adaptors
Wired: Yes

My Issue is that i Disconnect every single action i do on the internet. so for example;

1: Clicking on a link from skype
2: Clicking on any website
3: Opening Steam
4: Opening games from steam

It's just everything. At the moment i am using ZyXEL as i cannot get a wired connection downstairs, so this is my only option. I have another brother living here too. He uses the same Boxes and does not get these issues at all. I disconnected about 20seconds staggered intervals. I have replaced all the ethernet cables with newer version. I have also tried different plug sockets around the house. I have even tried different network cards and tried my brothers boxes on my pc. All causing the same issue.

The Disconnecting did not happen as much as it is right now. Which makes me think it could be my pc being faulty somewhere. In the past i would be playing something like CSGO, which i play all the time. It would disconnect for about 5 seconds and reconnect and i can continue playing. But it would happen on average about 8-10 times while playing. Now i cannot even get into a game and play anymore.

I have had so many people giving advice and tips etc, all of which sort of helped but it reverted back to disconnect after disconnect. Windows 7 forum gods are my last resort now.

P.s My ISP do jack shit about this, they send me a test to do, i do it, and because nothing come up wrong they dont do anything about it. I have had this issue ongoing for 2 years. PLEASE i really hope there is someone out there that can sort this.

Download "Linux Mint MATE" and burn to CD\DVD or bootable USB stick. Boot with it and make sure you TRY when the option comes. See if you will get disconnects as well.

Also, in Windows open few cmd windows. Enter the following in:
ping -t 192.168.1.92
ping -t 192.168.1.254
ping -t www.google.com

Open router management screen and find out router's default gateway too and ping it like above (with -t).
When you disconnect, note which pings fail.
