I am running Professional Window7 to allow me to use XP mode.....

IF I want to run Office in my XP Mode - Do I need to get another license for Office

Does My McAfee (loaded on my Windows7) provide protection to the XP Mode if it is connected to the internet?

Do I need a separate license for McAfee to protect the XP Mode?

( One of my legacy programs licenses only has a single user capabilities - hence I can not "share" it with windows7... so I must run in XP mode all the time)

Anything you run virtually counts as a second copy on a separate computer, so yes. My suggestion is to use OpenOffice, which is fully Office-compatible. Also, you do need a separate license for McAfee. XP Mode isn't always running, so just install a free AV like Avira for it.

Also, you know that you can run XP Mode apps without running XP Mode altogether right? Just install them in XP Mode and then they should show up in 7 in the Start menu under Windows Virtual PC -> Windows XP Mode Applications. They'll open up in 7, without the who XP Mode machine having to run, but they'll still be running as if they were running in XP.

The office license issue depends on what version of office you have, some office licenses allow for a install on two computers as long as only one is in use at a time. So, that would allow you to be legal without having to purchase another license.

Ummmm... if you are forced to be in XP mode all the time... why not just install XP?
