Really ... I need help

First ... let me cry for a while

Now ...

I installed Win 7 Professional E (just because I get it) and I never cant get it registered.

Now I have a big problem .. it reboots after 2 hours !! Every time !!
If I type slmgr.vbs -dli I get "Error: product key not found."

What can I do ?? please ! help me :huh:

It sounds as though you have installed either a beta or the RC. If so, it will continues shutting down every two hours, until it finally won't boot at all. You need to install the RTM.

What my distinguished fellow gurus mean with RTM is that because all the beta and test versions of Windows 7 are already expired, you should get (buy!) a normal licensed version and install it.

RTM stands for Released To Manufacturing, meaning the final version.

Thank you all for the explanations. I am now that little wiser. My Windows 7 was pre installed on a new PC and I have never got involved with Beta versions. In fact this is the first time I have used a new version of Windows so early in it's history. I normally wait for a year to let the bugs get sorted. I'm surprised that people are so open about installing what is clearly not a "paid for" version, I thought Microsoft had a system of checking the authenticity of their operating systems.
Anyway perhaps this is not the right place to be discussing this!

You need to purchase it from your local software store, or over the net. You just need to decide if you want Home Premium, Business, Professional or whatever version of 7.

You know, I'm glad you said this and I upped your rep for this. I am new still to this forum and I didn't want to drop the hammer, but the conversation sure did seem to be heading the direction of "Hey help me find a pirated copy of Win 7 x64."
