Hi there,
I just want to make this post to help others with the AWUS036H (Alfa) card from Data Alliance.
It's also known as the Realtek 8187 or Realtek 8187b
I have had consistent problems with this card under 64bit Windows 7 for a long long time (ever since Win7 betas came out) and I've finally found a driver for it which works for the first time.
It was blue screening with an RTL8187B.SYS error all the time, no matter what damn driver I tried.
(oddly enough when I plug the same card in to my Acer Laptop, it works totally fine and uses RTL8187.sys - despite it too being Windows 7 64bit?)
The driver I used was from here.
ALFA -- AWUS036H (Upgrade to 1Watt)
(actual file) ftp://WebFtp:[email protected]/array1/WebDownload/Driver/USB Driver/usb_Windows7.zip
I hope this helps someone.
