Hi, I have a problem. My Realtek sound drivers keep on uninstalling themselves. I will install the drivers and I will then reboot as I says too, I reboot and they are there, if I boot the computer down and boot it back up the same day they are fine, no problems. But the next day when I go to boot up the pc I have no sound what so ever, I noticed that I have a HDMI Audio Driver, I disabled this and the problem went away for a few days.

I did a complete re-install of Windows 7 and I still get the same problem, I would like some help, i've tried a few different things, i'm going to install the drivers now and re-boot.

Thanks in Advance (By the way, I have googled every time to find a fix and hardly any were permenant!)

Do you have an HDMI cable connected to the PC? In most systems, if there is an HDMI cable connected Windows will automatically set the HDMI as the default playback device.

Hi there, I got similar problem like Triplenox. I did everything to resolve the problem, even re-install my windows but the problem doesn't just go away. as firebird mentioned this problem occurs because of HDMI cable, but my motherboard doesn't have any VGA or DVI port so I have to rely on my HDMI cable but my sound is gone, any solution/help would be appreciated. thank you
