Solved Reboot freeze

Hi,
Not sure if this is the right thread for this, if not im sorry please move it to the right one.

So i have a problem ... When i reboot my PC ( manually or via start, shutdown arrow, restart ) , most of the times it shuts down and then re starts and proceeds to boot up ( is it normal for it to shut down completely and start back up on its own? previous PCs havent done this ).
On the booting up it STOPS at the motherboard logo,screen ... that is what you see in first second after you turn on the pc, and it just sits there and i have to manually reboot a few times to get past that screen .....

I have an Asus P5K motherboard ( all my spec are written on my profile ).
Why does it do this ...

EDIT:
I forgot to mention that when i turn off all my external hard drives it usually has no problems booting up.. can they be causing issues and how can that be fixed ? ( i have 3 added HDDs to the PC with a total of around ~450 GB of extra storage, total )

If you have multiple hard drives connected, this can indeed cause the bios to pause. The problem is with all the more storage added, (especially usb devices) it has to search all of those for a boot loader. The increased time makes it appear that it freezes or has an issue getting past that screen.

My recommendation is to set your hard drive with windows installed on it as the first boot device. Once this is done, you will no longer have an issue booting up. Even with the multiple USB hard drives connected.

My additional recommendation:

Usb external drives are meant for backup, they are not meant to be plugged in and running 24/7. Your decreasing its life by doing so. Especially if your using it to extend your pc's storage.

If you want to add more storage to your pc, buy a bigger hard drive or get a additional one.

How do i do this?
Im not expert in this, i know you can do it through bios but not exactly sure which part and what i need to click , my windows is in C.

Also, i didnt know multiple hard drives can have their lifespan shortened if they are 24/7. I use them all the time ... I guess i can let 1 or maybe 2 go but on one of those three i got a ton of stuff that i use every day ( wallpaper backgrounds, music , movies , etc... ) ... damn space, if i had money ill buy the biggest HDD and just relax -_-

Well, well what? Keep in mind were volunteers.

What is your pc make and model? I can try and find the bios directions for you.

You would essentially need to go into your bios and look at the boot tab or startup tab. You would then need to set your hard drive with windows on it to be the first boot device in the list.

But I need to know what your computer is. Compaq, hp, dell, toshiba? If you could give me the exact model number I could find the directions to try and help you to get into the bios and change the setting.

there isnt a model, its made from "scratch" , so to speak. All parts are fit to my preference ( 3-4 years ago preference, was stupid in my choice ... ), i said what kind of pc i wanted and the shop delivered and put one together .

My bios is activated by Del ( run setup ) and then F8 to enter bios .. i checked it there but the only thing i changed was the booting order ( there are 4 to choose from ). I tried to find C directory or the hard drive installed in the pc but it was displayed with its signature name ( which i dont know unless i open up the case to see ). I havent tried disabling externals maybe that will narrow the search?
