Rebooted Windows, lost Windows 7?

Hi. I rebooted my computer after increasing the amount of processors in the msconfig panel (from 1 to 4) for gaming purposes, but I seem to have run into trouble. My Windows 7 software seems to have been rolled back to an earlier version somehow after rebooting (instead of the usual smooth blue corners everything is blocky and white). I'm a little out of my depth here so I apologize if I'm not being clear. If someone doesn't mind lending me some help with this, or if you need to know anything more, I would be very grateful for the help.
