So I am re-building my computer soon and was wondering if anyone here would know of a good place to find info on and maybe get some good discussion about why to choose certain hardware over others.

Generally I just search newegg and tiger direct for parts, but have never tried talking to people about the hunt for parts on forums.

When you say "re-building" do you mean your gutting your system, or are just up-grading some components (ram, graphics ect...)? I tend to use Tigerdirect, they always have the parts I want, and at a good price.
