Hi, a couple of days ago, I got a BSOD reading something about cdd.dll; before I have time to read it, it goes away. My Acer Aspire 5542 (which I don't think is more than 1-2 years old, same for the OS) came with 64-bit Windows 7 OEM, and it hadn't given me any obvious problems in the past. But then in the past few days, I've gotten two of these blue screens, so now I'm starting to show a little concern.

I've attached the files requested (correctly, hopefully)... thanks in advance for any help!

Two immediate things before we can tell the true problem

Please remove any CD virtualization programs such as Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%.

They use a driver, found in your dmp, sptd.sys, that is notorious for causing BSODs.

Use this SPTD uninstaller DuplexSecure - Downloads

when you're done you can use this Freeware MagicISO Virtual CD/DVD-ROM(MagicDisc) in its place. MagicISO - Convert BIN to ISO, Create, Edit, Burn, Extract ISO file, ISO/BIN converter/extractor/editor

Your Avast. Please remove and replace with Microsoft Security Essentials to test at least.

I uninstalled Alcohol 120% and Avast!, but could not figure out how to use the SPTD uninstaller. I couldn't even find it after it installed, as a matter of fact.

You can search for spdt.sys and simply re-name it to sptd.bak and it wont load.

Alright, I've renamed SPTD.sys to SPTD.bak, so far so good.
