Recent BSOD Issues

I reinstalled my Realtek Audio Drivers as I need sound at this point (I'm not sure if this is one of the causes) .

What is my next step?

Yes I have one.
I did the repair Install.

I haven't deleted all the drivers, I've removed Speedfan since your message before my Add/Remove Picture update.

EDIT: by options becoming fewer is this or bad thing? (process of elimination type thing?) or something much worse?

thanks.,

Worse. If sfc didnt work, repair install didnt work, you may have to do a re-install.

Well, I haven't crashed yet now for a few hours.

The SFC file I sent to you showed there were files that didn't delete properly, Should I just ignore that?

With the drivers above you listed from my last minidump, Were those files taken care of when I did a repair install + SFC?.

Thanks

How To Find Drivers:
- search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
- - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference
- - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: Drivers and Downloads

I re- installed VSO's ConvertXtoDVD this afternoon to convert a video file I needed to burn quickly (I have since found better soft-ware) and have been experiencing BSOD's once again. I uninstalled convertxtodvd and have uploaded my minidump. Most my drivers Have been updated to the most recent, I plan on running a CHKDSK /F once more but would love feedback from my most recent minidump.

Appreciate it,

- manolz

It may be time for a clean install. Back up your files and other data to an external hard drive or DVD.

Where did you get your copy of Windows 7?

Also test your RAM. Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder. Boot from the CD, and leave it running for at least 5 passes.

Hello again

Hi, I have 2 RAM sticks / DDR3 1600 Patriot-Memory

I tested one ram stick at a time. The First RAM Stick I tested for 2 hours, 7 Passes and continue.

I then Started to test the other stick of RAM. And I have taken a photo of Memtest-86. Does this RAM stick need to be returned? Or can it be Fixed?

Also, I Ran Memtest Again-Same RAM Stick. And the error MSG came up at the same point. Should I Return this back to the Supplier WITH The Memtest DVD / Request to speak to a technician and run the test live?

Looking forward to your reply

Thanks once again

Strange, I moved the Ram stick down One to the Second Ram Holder and it Passed the 26% mark and is Still Testing. Will update!

One of the Ram sticks tested for 7 passes in the first bay. This second RAM Stick crashes at 26% x 3 in the first bay, Now it is testing In the second bay. Will let the test run for 5 passes. Hopefully assistance will be here by then

Thanks -

Just remember, any time Memtest reports errors, it can be either bad RAM or a bad motherboard slot. Test the sticks individually, and if you find a good one, test it in all slots.

Is it Vital I test for a minimum of 5 passes? It takes a while.

RAM(2) Failed in Bay 1 - , RAM(2) Is Passing in Bay 2

Ram(1) Passed in Bay1

Should I move Ram 2 to Bay 3 and 4 . 1 Pass test each, Then re-evaluate / Try bay 1 again with Ram(2) - If unsuccesful I can Deem Ram2 To be faulty?.

meanwhile, i'll test Ram(1) in Bay 1 - 4 for a detailed results?

thanks for reply
