This is another thing that keeps bothering me. I have a Dell Dimension 1100 I use for my QuickBooks and Company Files. One morning I switched the PC on, and during boot.......

When Windows did boot, a Balloon notified me My Computer Was Recently Updated. So an update has installed the last time I shut down the PC.

Im confused to how its created an additional system boot entry though, anyone experienced this?
If so, whats the best fix?

By the way before anyone asks, if I select the 2nd boot entry nothing happens

If you goto "system properties" "advanced" "Startip & Recovery" "settings" "edit" you should get a setting like below

remove the duplicate line under [operating systems] (yours should say something like Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition) and then save (problem should go away) ;)
