I tried to run a check disk of my C: (System) drive, and was unable to do so through Windows. It claims that it cannot run due to a recently installed software package and recommends I use system restore to revert back. Odd thing is, I just recently used a system image to recover the system, and I have not installed any new software since that time.
The system image recovery feature of Windows seems to do some odd things, as well. For instance, my Windows update history is blank now; the updates show up in add/remove programs but not under Windows update.
I am currently running chkdsk /r through the Windows 7 DVD on the C: (System) drive. I'd appreciate any suggestions to fix my issue(s) for when I wake up in the morning. Thanks everyone!
