Recently started getting random BSODs

I'm running on an older computer, Specs:
HP Pavilion a6110n
AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual Core Processor 4400+ (2.3ghz)
4gb DDR2 Ram
NVIDIA GeForce GT 520
2x Internal Seagate Sata Drives (320gb each)
Windows 7 Enterprise, 64 bit

I started randomly getting BSOD's a couple of weeks ago on this machine (MEMORY_MANAGEMENT, IRQL_NOT_LESS_EQUAL, etc.). I've had Win 7 on it for about 2 years with no problems until recently. It seems that the more I'm using the computer, the more likely the BSOD is to happen (i.e., doesn't seem to happen if I'm away and leave the computer on for an extended period of time, but it still does happen on occasion).

I was suspecting some Windows 7 software issues after my initial search so I did a clean install with no luck. I've ran a few memory tools to test the RAM and it seems to be fine. I took the computer apart and cleaned everything and re-seated all of the components including the processor. At that point I noticed that the fan on my video card wasn't working properly so I put the new NVIDIA card in it just a couple of days ago. I tried running chkdsk on the internal drives, and it reported no errors. I ran it on an external drive that I had plugged in and it gave me a few warnings so I just removed the drive from this system to another computer (so far everything is fine over there).

At this point I'm guessing either the motherboard or the processor is starting to fail, but thought I'd give this a shot before just going out and buying a whole new machine. Anyone think they can help? It would be greatly appreciated

Edit: Old video card was an ATI Radeon Sapphire XT1650 Pro. Been getting the BSOD with both cards

That's a very nice first post

Anyways, out of everything that you tried..did you look for a BIOS update? Your current version is quite old.

BIOS Version/Date	Phoenix Technologies, LTD 5.05, [COLOR="Red"]4/18/2007[/COLOR]

You might as well want to look for latest chipset drivers for your motherboard

Also, did you check the temp generated from this PC?
Use Speccy to monitor them.. Let us know the temp of the computer at normal usage

I'll look for the BIOS update in the morning and see if that helps anything. Just installed speccy, and at idle it's hovering around 50 Celsius, any load at all (just opened chrome and spotify) and it jumps to the upper 50's. I'd say it's a safe bet that it's time for a new computer haha. Thanks for the help

Sorry for the delay, work sent me out of town for a bit so I hadn't had time to do anything else to it. At the suggestion of an old coworker, I closely examined the mother board and found several bulging capacitors so there's no bringing the machine back without replacing the entire board. I decided to custom build a new one and just ordered all of my parts
