I am starting to think I did something wrong maybe.

I upgraded from:
CPU: Quad Q6600 @ 3.2GHz | GPU: Radeon HD 6950 | Mobo: Asus P5Q P45 | RAM: OCZ 4GB 1066GHz
To:
CPU: Intel Core i5 3570K 3.4GHz | GPU: Radeon HD 6950 | Mobo: Asus P8Z77-V LX | RAM: Corsair 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600MHz

I got my first two BSOD's while playing Skyrim and hard Reset. But today I got two while trying to boot into Windows. When I did the update I did not refromat my hard drive but I did reinstall Widows, so everything I had went to a folder called Windows.old.

I am on Windows 7 Home premium, currently not activated, I did not know I would need to reinstall Windows so I will have to buy it again when I get paid.

Thanks.

I've had two more BSOD's since posting this thread. What's going on?

Okay I've removed Avast and gotten one called Avira. I can't get the one you suggested right now because until I buy a new key I will not have a genuine copy.

So far no BSOD.
