This thread will probably get moved, but I wasn't sure where this should go. I am looking for a better chair, I'll keep the specifics of my chair secret...But I want a chair that allows me to slouch with back support. But I don't want to spend 250$. I'm thinking 150$ tops. I want to be able to lean back and read my book.

Now my chair leans back, but not enough and I'm always finding myself slouching more than the chair permits and it means my back makes an unsupported bridge between the bottom and the back of the chair. My chair only has a small mid section support on the back. I want full support and a good lean to it. Maybe what I want isn't possible, but.........

Any recommendations?

Only way to find a chair to suit you is to try as many s you can, What works for one my not work for another.

Somewhere like Staples or other office centric suppliers would possibly be a good start

A for your price limits it would be possible here in the UK but not sure of US prices. (once you've found a chair that suits you by trial you can always look online for bargains)

I disagree with that last bit of advice. Using a bricks and mortar store to find what you want, then buying elsewhere online is a shameful practice that is unfair to the store that went to the trouble and considerable expense to display an item so a shopper has the opportunity to physically see and even try out something. It's people doing exactly what you suggested that is driving the bricks and mortars out of business.

In this case, if the OP physically tries out chairs at brick and mortar stores (which, I agree, is the best way to shop for something like that) and finds what he likes and needs at one, then the store deserves to be compensated for the expense of having stocked and displayed the chair.

One legitimate way to possibly save money at a brick and mortar on large ticket items is, after finding what one wants, is to ask to speak with a manager and tell the manager you want to buy an item but would rather pay the online price. Many bricks and mortars will be willing to cut a deal rather than risk losing a sale. In fact, many of them already have price matching policies that often include online prices.

I should be more specific, I realize that now. I have go to all the chair places in town, the only nice once are full leather and huge. I want one with mesh backing(thin, not huge) like the one I have, but with full back for me head and better slouch ability.

As for the argument about brick and mortar..... I only care Mom and Pop shops. But I do have a counter ad that is Barnes and Noble vs Amazon... B&N never price matches so I often browse the store, then buy online what I want.

I was working on my old chair for 3 years and also changed it to the new one last week because of neck pain I had :/ I've read almost whole internet to find the good one and hopefully I did. The most important thing is: design < ergonomic. Sometimes you have to sacrifice the design and just buy good but not great looking chair (I wanted chair like from the sport car). Finally I bought Ancheer Mount Black Mesh from this ranking: You have neck or back pain? This will help you! - Work With Pleasure - tips, advices, best chairs reviews It has head support, mesh etc. and works for me perfectly.

Btw. I also thought that I need to go to the local shop to buy the proper one but as I'm too lazy to that and internet was enought :D

Hope it helps you
