A lot of people like Imgburn.

You could also try Ashampoo Burning Studio 2010 - which is also very good, and it's free.

Another Vote for IMgBurn

but .. what kind of problem are you having with Nero 7?

Nero 7 Burning ROM/Express will run perfectly fine under 7 64bit.
AS will a few of the other programs in the bundle such as:
Start Smart, Nero Vision, Nero recode

Others it offers I am unsure as These are the only ones I have tested under 7.

I personally prefer IMGBURN, however, if you want to use NERO 7, theres no reason it shouldn't work.

I like the Free software DeepBurner. I have been using it for years now. I like it better than Nero or Cyberlink because it is slimmed down from the bloat features and is very easy to use. The free version can do almost everything the big boys do an is fast.

Nero 9 love it burn everything with it, did try Roxio 2010, but i removed it and stuck with Nero (Roxio 3.5GB vs Nero 9 1.5GB) when fully installed.

Punkster, I've tried Starburn a couple times now and it seems very slow to open, scan drives and run in general. All 50 other pieces of software run great, so I'm wondering if Starburn seems slow to you.

As far as Nero goes, 1.5gb is huge. At least you can customize and slim it down. I used and loved Nero for years and like most others stopped buying it at version 7. I've read here that Nero 7 didn't work on Windows 7 64-bit.

I've read here that Nero 7 didn't work on Windows 7 64-bit.
I was using Nero 7 for years with XP. IMO the best version of Nero.

When I initially upgraded to Win7 it was 32-bit, and Nero 7 didn't work in that either.
Now that I'm with x64, I'm happy using Burnaware. Does everything I need it to do!

Windows 7 has Directx11. Nero 7 does not see Directx11 and will not install unless you allow it to install directx9.

That's one negative.

Antivirus programs see the "Ask Toolbar" as a threat.

That's another negative. It's a well known issue. I'd like to see if there is a way to completely remove it surgically.

Nero has Disc Info. I like that feature to see details of what's on a disc? I've tried some other burn programs including Burnaware. None of them seemed to have the finer control over burning and detailed information available. Maybe I'll take a look at that one again.
