I am needing to add a RAID Card to a HP Elite 8200 SFF. Will be running RAID 1 on a pair of Seagate 4TB conventional HDD's for backing up a bunch of files, photos, a few home vids etc.
I could use the onboard raid but the firmware available limits to 1.7TB and the performance is dull.
There are no PCI 3.0 slots on this system: limited to 2.0
Others have made general suggestions about picking up Dell PERC/LSI boards or other LSI boards. Would help me if some of you have working/tested systems that are performing top-notch with such a setup. I'm wide open to your help in this matter.
thank you!
