Recording Sound ??

Hi,
Os: Windows 7 ultimate
I want to record sound that comes from my speakers, I have right clicked the speaker icon on the taskbar, gone to recording devices, then right clicked to show disabled devices but there is no sound mixer.
My sound card is: audio device: Creative X-Fi Audio Processor (WDM)
I decided to see if it was the drivers, so I used the Creative AutoUpdate and this told me there were no creative products on my system! The soundcard does show up in Windows and is enabled. I even tried updating manualy but that did not work either...

I am very confused, any idea's

Is there a What U Hear option instead available?

there was not, but I have downloaded drivers from a link in this forum and noe there is a 'what you hear' listed. now I will figure out how to use it.

Cheers Brink! I can do it now. I used 'free sound recorder' to record what I wanted, worked great!
